![]() #Dog tag engraver professional#As a result of the study, it was determined that teachers have high level of perceptions with regard to personal self-respect and emotional professional identification, they have low perception with regard to classifying themselves as teachers, evaluative identification, team membership and team identification. The study data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, independent sample t-test and one –way Anova technique. Out of 600 questionnaires 20 of them were excluded from the study as they were not filled in according to the instructions and statistical analyses were conducted on data from 580 questionnaires. In the study, simple random sampling method was used and 600 primary school and secondary school teachers from Kastamonu, Düzce, Zonguldak, Ankara, Adana, Kocaeli and Istanbul provinces. The universe of the study is composed of teachers working in 81 provinces of Turkey. The aim of this study is to examine multiple structure of organizational identification in the sample of teachers in Turkey in terms of some variables. In doing so, I argue that the novella calls attention to various concerning aspects of educational systems heavily reliant on technology. ![]() For each, I explore how the focal topic is presented in "Profession" while drawing on educational research to tease out the complexities of Asimov's depiction and its implications. ![]() ![]() I base my discussion around four interrelated themes: (1) dependence on technology for educational success, (2) inequitable access to technology, (3) limitations of standardised assessment technology, and (4) prioritisation of vocational and technological skills over broader educational aims. This essay aims to mostly bypass questions of Asimov's intention and focus instead on the relevance of "Profession" for problematising the use of technology in education. While some see the novella as motivated foremost by "a desire to share his belief in the benefits of technology" (Rose 1), others interpret the tale as warning of the potential ramifications of technological development and limitations of technology in educational settings (Andrews 346 Matusov et al. Critics are divided over Isaac Asimov's thematic aims in "Profession". ![]()
